De Aquarama en zijn “super” en “special” varianten waren een echt icoon van de kusten en meren van het Middellandsezeegebied. De tweemotorige boot heeft zoveel charme en elegantie dat hij wordt vergeleken met legendarische auto's als Rolls-Royce en Ferrari.
Carlo Riva en zijn ontwerper Georgio Barilani gingen een lang proces in om deze boot te creëren. Er werd een doorgang in het dek gemaakt tussen het zonnedek en het water om de toegang tot het water te vergemakkelijken. In augustus 1962 werd de Aquarama naar Monaco vervoerd voor haar eerste proefvaart. De testpiloot was Giovanni Agnelli, de eigenaar van FIAT. De eerste Aquarama wordt LIPICAR I gedoopt, een anagram van de voornamen van de drie dochters van Carlo Riva: Lia, Pia en Carla.
De naam Aquarama verwijst zowel naar het panoramische uitzicht dat weerspiegeld wordt in de chromen contouren van de voorruit als naar de nieuwe mode voor cinema op reuzenschermen (Cinérama). Tussen 1962 en 1971 werden 288 Riva Aquarama's gebouwd, aangedreven door 185 en 220 pk Chris Craft en Riva V8 motoren. De snelheid bedroeg 75 km/u of 40 knopen. De Riva Aquarama onderging een evolutie bekend als de Super Aquarama, gebouwd tussen 1963 en 1971 met 203 exemplaren en met krachtigere motoren van 290 tot 320 pk. Vanaf 1972 verscheen er een nieuwe evolutie, genaamd Aquarama Special met zijn karakteristieke lijn. Deze werd geproduceerd in 236 exemplaren tot 1995. De langste Aquarama, met 8,75m, en de krachtigste, met zijn 2 x 350pk motoren, blijft het vlaggenschip van de serie.

Made-to-Order/Made-To-Measure Commitment: Our commitment to providing you with uniquely crafted products means that once an order is placed, the creation process begins promptly. Due to the personalized nature of made-to-order items, we, unfortunately, cannot accept returns or issue refunds on these products. All products that are made to measure and made to order are not returnable. Perfumes, incenses that are opened or even used, are not returnable. The same goes for food and drinks, such as wines et cetera. All other products which are used or damaged can not be returned and are not refundable, unless it is clearly happened by shipping (see below: 'Shipping Damages').
Quality Assurance: Rest assured, our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality throughout the crafting process. Cancellation Policy: If you wish to cancel a made-to-order item, made to measure item, perfume, incense kit, food/drink ware, and so on, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations can only be accommodated if the production and shipping process has not commenced. Once production begins, the item is considered non-refundable.
Shipping damages: If the shipment has been damaged, we need all data about the damage within two days after the shipment has arrived at the customer. This data contains: pictures of the damaged product, pictures of the packaging, and pictures of the filling materials within the packaging. Alle pictures need to be clear and the description of the damage needs to be clear as well.
